Turning off background applications will relieve your device from a heavy burden and constant processing of applications that you are not even using. Solution is simple, you can stop all the unnecessary apps and services that you are no longer using by doing the following steps:

How to turn off Background App Refresh on youriOS devices:
  • Go to Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap Background App Refresh
  • Turn off Background App Refresh completely by toggling it off – you also have the option to set it to refresh app specific while using Wi-Fi or while using Wi-Fi & Cellular Data.
How to turn off Background App Refresh on your Android devices:
  • From the start screen, pull down the notification bar for Settings
  • Tap ⚙️ in the top right-hand corner (you can go to Settingsdirectly as well)
  • In Settings, tap Connections, and then tap Data Usage
  • Choose the data usage of network you are using for the most
  • Select an app from below the usage graph
  • Tap Turn Off for allow background data usage
  • Follow these steps for each app you would like to restrict from using Background App Refresh.
